Jenkins was born in
Tampa,
Florida to Mary and Eric Jenkins. His older brother is
Renneker Jenkins, also an actor and he's an older sister, Tiffany. Like his character in
Keeping Up with the Steins, he's
Jewish, and attended
Hebrew school. He now lives in California.
Acting career
Jenkins starred as Miles Barnett on the
NBC television series
Surface, though it wasn't renewed for a second season. He also appeared in the first season of the Nickelodeon series
Unfabulous. Jenkins starred in the
Disney Channel film
Life Is Ruff, alongside
Kyle Massey and
Mitchel Musso. Jenkins appeared in the 2005 comedy
Bad News Bears, with
Billy Bob Thornton. His latest role is in the comedy
Keeping Up with the Steins, which opened on
May 14,
2006. He had a guest appearance in an episode of
House ("
Meaning"). He is appearing in an upcoming movie "Think Tank" which will be in theatres sometime in 2007. Carter guest-starred as a young returnee on
The 4400. And he shares the birthday of famous actress Rebecca Williams.
Jenkins starred in the 2005 comedy
Bad News Bears with
Billy Bob Thornton: he played Joey from the opposing team. He guest starred on "
My Tormented Mentor" and an episode of
Scrubs as a young version of
The Todd. He is best known for playing Raymond Caine(Junior), the nephew of
Miami-Dade Police Lt.
Horatio Caine played by
David Caruso) on CBS's as well as Jack on the now-cancelled CBS musical-drama
Viva Laughlin. He is in the up coming movie
They Came from Upstairs alongside
Ashley Tisdale and
Robert Hoffman.
